The BenAddiction
The BenAddiction is about the hope, insight and a renewed life that we’ve captured through our seven-year journey through addiction. If you can’t find hope, compassion and tolerance reading this then I have failed you. I’ve failed to convey that the message is about unity of purpose and value of life.
It’s our attempt to become a Pied Piper of people and offer our reflections on addiction recovery and surprisingly suggest, there are profound blessings and life giving change in tackling the recovery of addiction. We find blessings in overcoming many hurdles and obstacles in life, cancer or other diseases are tremendous trials to go through, but also offer so much more to those who survive and prosper from the journey.
In the end we have but only one question to ask, "Given what I have in front of me, will it define who I am, will I allow it to place me in bondage indefinitely, or, will I travel through to the other side and not only be blessed by the journey but bless others with the compassion and insights I’ve gained". Will I allow myself to become whole once again or like a cancer that decimates the body, will I let the loss I’ve experienced prevent me from stepping back, looking up and reflecting on where I once was and where I am now.

I Jump Higher
You know I couldn't resist...."I Jump Higher" is a book about puppies and the first eight weeks of their lives. The book is designed to show children that you can be unique in your abilities and that just like puppies, every puppy and every child's uniqueness emerges and grows at their own pace. The book is designed to teach children that because they may not do one thing as well as another child, that doesn't mean they will not find what they are good at with others aspiring to be like them.
It speaks to the need for acceptance and at times compassion for others. It uses a litter of puppies and describes their lives over their first eight weeks of life. It shows how puppies like children, find their way to their feet and eventually jump higher and higher as time goes on.
The book addresses the taunting and bullying found within the puppies first eight weeks. It speaks to the pups ability to bond with others in their litter, and how they share the same needs to be loved and nurtured.
